This is a beautiful two color quilt and finished in time for the holidays! It was beautifully pieced by Alyssa Y. (who happens to be my daughter 😊) and fun to quilt.  With the red tone on tone fabric, it was all about the texture. The pattern, Fair Isle Quilt, is included in the book, Winter Wonderland- 12 Cozy Christmas Quilts (www.itssewemma.com). More photos to see if you click here:
Embroidered Beauty!
This is a beautiful machine embroidered appliqué wall hanging. It’s a stunning work of art so the quilting was just an enhancement. I used a variegated shiny thread from Superior Threads – LAVA, Fireworks. It’s a bit hard to see in this image but it looks great on the black background. To see photos of the back, click here:
Pastel Christmas
I love this quilt! The pattern is from The Vintage Spool (www.thevintagespool.com) and is called Frolic. Kathleen C. does beautiful appliqué work and it is a joy to quilt for her. To see closeups of the Blocks, click here:

Painted Lady – Birthday Gift
My quilt guild, the Carquinez Strait Stitchers (www.cssquilter.org), makes and gives a quilt top to each member on their 70th birthday. This time it was for Marilyn! The houses were made with fabric from Kaffe Fassett fabrics. Here’s a picture of the entire quilt. For more photos, click here:
Cats and Birds

Farmers Wife
A stunning quilt from Dolores using Civil War fabrics. I love the on point layout which gave me great quilting possibilities. 101 blocks, machine pieced. For more detailed photos, click here
Embroidered beauty
Delores machine embroidered the blocks and then assembled the quilt. I love the texture created with the quilting and the richness of the dark purple borders.

A true vintage…..
Lori’s quilt is the real deal. The squares are hand pieced! She added the borders by machine. The quilting is simple and matches the feel of the quilt. The back has been pieced with extra squares and you can see it along with close ups here.
